- •Severe toothache or abscess symptoms
- •Broken tooth or lost crown/veneer
- •Sports or accident dental trauma
- •Uncontrolled bleeding after extraction (clinic hours)
- •Sudden swelling localised to the jaw
Go to hospital / ER first if
- •Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- •Rapidly spreading facial swelling
- •High fever with facial infection
- •Loss of consciousness or major trauma
- •Uncontrolled systemic bleeding
While you wait for your slot
- 1. Rinse gently with warm salt water — avoid extreme hot or cold.
- 2. Use over-the-counter pain relief as directed on the pack (unless contraindicated).
- 3. For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist in milk and seek care immediately.
- 4. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum — it can burn tissue.
